Upon arrival, regardless of the hour you’ll be welcomed by our receptionists who speak fluent English, German, Italian and Spanish. You’ll be surrounded by our inviting, contemporary decor with its distinctive Parisian elegance.
Our cosy lounge invites you to relax while reading the newspaper or surfing the web at our Internet terminal. Dammann tea is served each afternoon, and during the summer months our charming patio - a protected islet in the heart of Paris - offers the chance to relax near its olive tree.
The Hotel Le Chaplain Rive Gauche was fully renovated in early 2008 by Michel Jouannet, an architect and interior decorator. He blends a strong contemporary style, a splendid colour palette, dark wood and the comfort of new technology that is an essential feature of today’s hotels.
The rooms more specifically express the hotel’s philosophy through grisaille paintings by the artist Fabienne Santrot De Courrière*: a smile welcomes you and invites you to dream in the company of great international stars, from Marilyn Monroe to the Mona Lisa, enhancing the originality of our custom decor. You’ll leave with happy memories of your stay at the Hotel Le Chaplain Rive Gauche!
*After studying art history, Fabienne Santrot De Courrière initially practiced with patinas then discovered the grisaille technique, paintings that incorporate shadow and light through the use of muted shades. Much of her grisaille work is sold through orders placed with interior decorators and individuals, but she also works with London and California dealers which sell her grisailles on canvas.
