isabel hamm designs and produces chandeliers for private
residences, public places and offices.
she began her career as a designer doing a three-year
apprenticeship as a ceramist in limburg (germany).
isabel completed her training 1987 with a craft master
diploma in ceramics in marburg and an MA in ceramics
and glass at the royal college london in 1998 where she
was granted with the rsa student design award in glassware.
throughout her career isabel took part in numerous exhibitions,
notably "new work in glass" at vessel gallery in london,
"weissraeume" a series of shows in milan and cologne
or “glasswork” at gallery franziska keller in zurich.
while establishing herself as a production designer, working with
glass took more and more space. it was austrian architect and
co-student from london monika gogl who encouraged her to
design glass chandeliers for first joint projects.
