The foundations of our career as the manufacturer of modern office equipment systems were laid in 1958 within the framework of a wide-reaching entrepreneurial vision.

A German designer living in London, Robert Gutmann, decided to produce concepts for office furniture that was completely different from the norms of the time and gave his designs the working title "Planmöbel". So as to be able to launch the desired product range as a new concept completely independently, in 1958, "Planmöbel" was adopted as the company's official name. The name Planmöbel had become a brand.

Since this date, Planmöbel has been offering carefully structured ranges of products, following its own, unconventional paths. Thinking laterally, coming up with innovations and always slightly ahead of the market – these are qualities that Planmöbel has maintained right up to the present-day.
