A light Story is the tale of unique, handcrafted light fixtures and the reclaimed wood they're made from: French Oak wine barrel staves. It's also the story of creative inspiration and good old British ingenuity.

It started as a wee-idea bouncing around around inside of an Englishman's head. He was attracted to the shape, texture and character of the barrel staves: deeply wine-stained on the inside and weathered on the outside. The strength and beauty of the recycled wood had an enduring appeal.

In the winter of 2010, the Englishman designed and built his first prototypes. In no time at all he honed-in on the details, made a few adjustments, then proudly presented his masterpiece: a fully functioning light fixtures made from wine barrel staves.
